By midweek we are mid flow in our weekday routines with school and work, and can get caught up in rushing through mealtimes barely tasting what’s in front of us. By taking a moment to connect with the now and yourself before you eat, you can taste and enjoy a whole lot more! Same goes for kids.

Easier said than done when you are battling demands and ever-shifting needs from your families, with noise distracting you and thoughts about plans or worries crowding your mind. If you can, take a short moment before eating to sit quietly and breathe and take in the sight of the food in front of you, nothing more. Not thinking about what else you need to do or what has to happen after the meal, just what’s in front of you. Then eat…
